Marrying a Welshman I quickly gained a love of Wales, the countryside, the food, the sea, the people. We have enjoyed living at Sutton Mawr for 13 years now, but have many happy memories of holidays being spent in the Gower, Pembrokeshire and on the Llyn Peninsular.
As a result the room names have been inspired by my favourite areas of Wales.
Whether it’s your first time to Wales, when we can give you tips on our favourite places throughout Wales, or you are from nearby, a warm welcome is assured.
The Gower Room
King size bed sleeps 2 and 1 extra put up bed for child or cot available. En suite shower room.
The Glamorgan Room
Super king size bed or twin beds and 1 extra put up bed for child or cot available. En suite shower room.
The Pembroke Room
Full disabled access with ensuite wet room. Super king or twin bed, two single beds, double sofa bed and cot available.
The Llyn Room
King size bed sleeps 2 and 1 extra put up bed for child or cot available. En suite shower room.
The Brecon Suite
Superking or twin in master bedroom, bunk beds in second bedroom, en suite bathroom, 1 extra put up bed for child or 1 cot available.
All bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with en suite bathrooms, in a barn conversion each having its own entrance door from the yard. This provides complete privacy and independence from the main house as the accommodation is for the sole use of our guests and is not shared with the owners.
All our rooms offer a fabulously comfortable bed with Egyptian cotton bedding and white duck down duvets, flat screen TV & DVD and wireless internet access throughout. For our guests’ comfort we also provide bath robes and complementary tea & coffee making facilities and mineral water. Provided in each room is a suit press and hair dryer.
Both the continental breakfast and our special Welsh farmhouse breakfast are cooked by an experienced cordon bleu chef, using our own free range produce from the farm to be served in the dining room. Newspapers, if booked in advance, are provided.
We are dog and family friendly by nature! Tailor made packages can be offered to suit every occasion.

A delightful two bedroom cottage situated in a beautiful rural setting. The cottage offers luxury accommodation for a couple or family sleeping up to 6 people plus 1 cot. It has a large living room with gas wood burner fire, a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, and bathroom with over head shower. The large main bedroom has a superking sleigh bed and the second has twin beds.
We can provide an extra bed in the main bedroom if required and there is a double sofa bed in the living room.
The barn is centrally heated, has its own private garden area and use of the tennis court, by arrangement.

Romantic restored railway carriage
Our romantic restored railway carriage is situated near the entrance to Sutton Mawr adjacent to a hedgerow which gives privacy and protection. There is a small decked area around the cabin with a firepit, table and chairs and a log pile for fires.
Inside the cabin is a kitchen dresser with a small sink and kettle for making drinks. To the left is a beautiful wood burning stove with two cosy armchairs. To the right is a cosy cabin double bed.
The carriage is equipped with lighting and electric sockets and has storage cupboards for your luggage under the bed.
There is room to put up the small table and chairs from outside in the cabin if the weather is not kind.
Towels, tea, coffee and biscuits and a log pile are provided.
The ‘loo with a view’ including shower and sitting and dining room facilities are 100 yards away down a gravel path, as are the kitchen facilities where you can prepare more substantial meals.
