Lovely welcome to a very special place. Such a shame we couldn't have stayed for longer than one night. It is the little touches when you stay somewhere that take it from good to excellent. The whole setting was quiet and seperate to the main farmhouse, which made returning late in the evening, relaxing somehow. The rooms were of a very high standard in all areas. The fresh milk in the jug, ready for that very needed cup of tea! To go with it, some homemade welsh cakes as well, on arrival. The great selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and herbal teas. The very good quality towels (John Lewis) and bathrobes. Plus the complimentary toiletries, lovely lavender handwash, shampoo etc. The bed was very comfortable and linen also of a high standard. We stayed for dinner in the evening as well, and we would highly recommend Victoria's cooking. Breakfast was superb both continental and cooked (at extra minimal cost), in quality and content, one of our party said, "that bacon tastes, like
bacon use to taste" and from the smile on her face, it was a very good thing! All in all, we definately will be returning and loved every minute of our stay.

As a group we go away every New Year. Sutton Mawr has been our most favoured out of our 23 years. Aside from the amazing setting of the farm the family owning the place are just wonderful. They are so welcoming and warm and make our whole holiday so much better. We will definately be returning to Sutton Mawr Farm again. Hopefully very soon, A big thank you to you all!

I would highly receommend sutton mawr farm to anyone. We had a fabulous time, the accommodation was beautiful, our hosts were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was divine - plentiful and very high quality produce. We were also lucky to have a tour of the farm and came home with free range eggs which were delicious. There is a gym, tennis courts and an area to relax with magazines, pool table and an honesty bar / kitchen. An amazing weekend. Thank you mark and vicci

Searching the internet trying to find somewhere that accepted dogs, We came across Sutton Mawr Farm. I booked a double room for a Saturday night for us and our two dogs... I received a call back from Mark who explained to me that they could only take dogs in the larger cottage and were happy to up-graded us at no extra cost! .... Arriving at large courtyard Mark greeted us with a warm smile and showed us to the cottage. Stunned at the accomodation (5 star) it was like staying at a friends house.. warm, welcoming , fresh, yet surreal. A home cooked meal was offered and accepted and serverd in "our" cottage, really yummy. Nothing was too much trouble for Mark and Victoria, and took took to our dogs Bonnie and Lady, Yet our hosts "left" us to enjoy everything.... All the rooms are finished to a very high standard, the farm courtyard is rustic and charming, a small gym is available, and and honesty bar to help yourself can be found in Breakfast room. ard is the place to exercise your dogs and take in the views.... Breakfast was again all home cooked and fresh (mostly home produced) totally amazing.. You will never have a stay like this in any Hotel. It has to be the most friendly, comfortable, pleasant place we have ever stayed.. I have "lived" in Hotels up and down the UK for over 20 years working for a multi national company, and nothing compares to the stay that Mark and Victoria will offer...... Sadly the more praise we give the less chance we will have booking in the future! It is so pleasing in this day and age to see a couple so happy in what they do, and do it so brilliantly, we are almost jealous! Can't wait until we see you again.

My wife and I were looking for somewhere for a night to stay after attending a wedding reception at nearby Dyffryn Gardens. We found this on a local website (for once, we didn't use Trip Advisor!) and booked it because it was only a couple of miles from the reception. It is also ideally placed for Cardiff (Wales) Airport.
We only discovered afterwards that it is new and we were among their first guests. The rooms are around a farm courtyard - very like being in a Frech gite; they are beautifully furnished with excellent en suite shower facilities, trouser press, comlimentary Welsh Cake(!). Breakfast must be one of the best I have had anywhere - even to the inclusion of delicious Welsh speciality laver bread as part of the enormous cooked breakfast.
The farm has a range of facilities on their website - although unfortunately we didn't have time to explore much: it looks like a great place for a longer break or holiday and is excellently placed for touring the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan and the city of Cardiff.
The owners have priced it towards the top end of the market - but it's great value and I'm sure you won't be disappointed
